After the launching of BlackBerry Z10 and Q10 handsets, BlackBerry introduced a new smartphone in India. BlackBerry Q5 is the second QWERTY keyboard equipped smartphone running the new BB10.1 operating system. The body of the phone lacks the premium feel and the all-plastic design could have got a better finishing for its mid-range pricing. Under the hood the BlackBerry Q5 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor and 2GB RAM. The smartphone comes with 8GB internal storage which can be expanded upto 32GB via microSD card. The Q5 sports a 5-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front facing camera. The 3.1-in 720x720 pixel touchscreen display is quite bright and clear and suitable for most users. Overall camera and battery performance of BlackBerry Q5 is about average. Though the Q5 is cheaper than its big BB10 brothers, it is facing tough competition from Android phones in this price range.
